Let’s be honest, if we took a poll and asked most people if they have experienced cheating in their current or a previous relationship most would say no.

Some people would ask, well how do you define what is cheating and what isn’t. I would say that if you have to hide it from your significant other it can be considered grounds for cheating. Although, I believe most people tend not to talk about infidelity in their own personal relationships due to social stigmas. According to NBCNews.com “A study conducted by the Austin Institute found that unfaithfulness in a marriage accounted for around 37 percent of divorces in the U.S.".

In reality, I truly believe that rate is so high because most people never prepare for the reality that there partner may cheat, and if so how would they handle the situation. Truth is, if the relationship is serious enough (ex: marriage, child involved, living jointly) one may reconsider leaving and instead opt to work it out. I began to wonder if two people tend to work it out, how long does it last, and if so are the two people genuinely “Happy” with the decision.
