One of the biggest nights in music is swiftly approaching and we're going to tell you what's to look forward to where hip-hop is concerned. This coming Sunday, the VMAs will be happening live, hosted by Keke Palmer and there are plenty of awards and performances that will showcase the best in hip-hop.
As far as performances, we can look forward to seeing Da Baby, Doja Cat, The Weeknd and Roddy Ricch; this being Roddy's first VMA performance. There's also some major nominations occupied by big names in hip-hop.

Awards like Artist of the Year, Song of Year, Video of the Year and more can be taken home this year by hip-hop artists. Houston's finest, Megan Thee Stallion has been nominated for multiple VMAs this year including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year and Best Hip-Hop.
Drake and Future's "Life is Good" is up for Video of the Year alongside Eminem and Juice Wrld's "Godzilla", The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" and more. Da Baby has multiple nominations as well, with Best Hip-Hop, Artist of the Year, Best Choreo (in the "BOP" music video) and Song of Summer (being "Rockstar").

Saweetie has recieved her first VMA nomination with her single "Tap In" as a possible contender for Song of Summer. Jack Harlow's "Whats Poppin" also has been nominated for that award and I'm sure we'll be hearing it at his VMA debut during the pre-show starting at 6:30 PM.
There's definitely more hip-hop where that came from to be expected on Sunday but you're going to have to tune in to see the outfits, performances, and award-winners. Check out the 2020 VMAs, this Sunday at 8 PM on MTV.
