Singer Trey Songz is speaking out against a kidnapping and sexual assault allegation that arose during an interview with Celina Powell and her friend Aliza on the No Jumper podcast.
During the interview, Aliza claimed that Trey urinated on her and kept her in his hotel room until he told her to leave. Aliza also added that everyone who has had relations with Trey has said the same thing, including her friend Celina. At the end of her story, she added that Trey took all of her things and threatened to damage them if she tried to leave.
As both Celina and Aliza are known for claiming to sleep with famous men and then leaking details of their encounters shortly after, Trey is another name added to the list but is strongly denying that any of this has ever happened.
After the rumor surfaced, Trey began to trend on Twitter so he took to social media his side of the story.
In a series of tweets shared on Wednesday, Trey said that he wouldn't typically make public statements of this nature but felt compelled to do so.
Sharing text conversations between the two, Trey added that accusations like this happen all the time but as the same narrative continues to be shared more and more people are likely to believe it.
"I brush it off every time but once you have an allegation no matter it’s true weight invalidation, it’s now happened once and to some will be believable from that moment forward. None of that happened" he wrote via Twitter.
Shutting down the rumors in a few statements that go against Aliza's story, he added that despite the stories, he is focusing his energy on more positive things.
"You will choose [to] believe what you want," he said. "I've been focusing my energy and time on good things and I know the Devil wants my soul more now than ever."
