In a recent podcast episode hosted by Vivica Fox, Hustling with Vivica A. Fox, Tiffany Haddish shared the time when she was raped by a police cadet.

Haddish shared that the assault happened on the night of her homecoming dance when a police cadet, whom she had previously met, offered her a ride home. Instead of taking her home, the cadet took Haddish to his house and sexually assaulted her.

In interviews discussing the event, Haddish revealed that the experience has altered her perception of men and how she carries herself.

“I notice that men are afraid of women that are aggressive. So to protect myself I become semi-aggressive,” Haddish told Glamour magazine. “You hear about, ‘Tiffany always hitting on somebody,’ but that’s to keep them from hitting on me.”

As Haddish discussed more details of the life-changing event, she revealed another encounter that she had with the police. But this time, Haddish says that cops pulled their guns on her when they found marijuana in her car.

The "Girls Trip" actress said that when recovering from the events, 'nobody really helped' her get over the trauma.

After seeking counseling and attending therapy since then, Haddish wants us to know that true success is the best revenge in any situation. Even hers.
