The Cast Of Younger Talks The Final Season

Looks like TV Land's hit dramedy, Younger, aged-well and will be coming to an end as it enters its seventh and final season on April 15. The romantic comedy based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Pamela Redmond Satran has grown into its own and will graduate from airing on TV Land to Paramount+. Before leaving TV Land, Younger made history as becoming the longest running original series in the network's history, formerly held by Hot in Cleveland, which lasted for six seasons.

The cast got together last week to discuss the show's finale season and what the fans can expect. During the Younger press junket, Debi Mazar, who plays Maggie Amato, shared that each character has a particular arc that is fleshed out in this upcoming season:

"Each character has a particular arc and it's really fleshed out with highs and lows, drama, comedy, tears, happiness, and it really surprised us all how the writers took us on the journey where we all got to do things we didn't expect to do."

One of the show's heartthrobs, Nico Tortorella, reminisces about playing his character Josh, who went from having a baby to having a rollercoaster relationship with Liza Miller, who is played by Sutton Foster. Nico shares what he will miss most about playing Josh:

"I will miss his heart and the way he approaches his life, relationships, and life as a parent. It's been refreshing to bring that level of masculinity and emotionality to television".

Season 7 looks like it's going to be a great sendoff for the series. However, it looks like the Younger universe may continue as ViacomCBS and Darren Starr are developing a spin-off series, which will focus on Hilary Duff's character, the editor-turned publisher, Kelsey Peters.

Are you ready for season 7 and do we want to see a spinoff? Looks like you're going to have to tune in on April 15th on Paramount+.
