The 98th Academy Awards, held Sunday, March 15, 2026,brought together the year’s biggest filmmakers andperformers to celebrate the standout achievements of 2025.This year’s ceremony kept the focus on the work itself.Strong performances, thoughtful directing, and the kind ofstorytelling that stays with audiences long after the creditsroll.   

  

Hosted by Conan O’Brien, the show moved smoothly andkept the spotlight on the artists, creating a night that feltgrounded, warm, and genuinely celebratory.   

  

“One Battle After Another” Leads theNight  

  

The film that defined the evening was One Battle AfterAnother, which took home six awards, including BestPicture and Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson.   

  

For Anderson, the win felt like a major moment in his career.He’s been a significant voice in filmmaking for years, andthis project brought together everything people admireabout his work; strong character writing, careful pacing, anda clear artistic vision.   

  

His acceptance speech was sincere and understated,thanking his cast, crew, and the audiences who connectedwith the film’s emotional depth. The movie’s strong showingacross categories reflected how deeply it resonated withboth voters and viewers.   


Michael B. Jordan Wins Best Actor for“Sinners”  

  

One of the most emotional highlights of the night camewhen Michael B. Jordan won Best Actor for Sinners.
