One of the biggest nights in Television took place last night. The Primetime Emmy Awards was a lot different being as though it was virtual, but that didn't stop host Jimmy Kimmel, nominees and award-winners from tuning in and celebrating all the greatness television has to offer.

A few celebrations in particular continue to pave the way for actors and actresses of color, 1 even making history. Yes, Regina King took home an Emmy for Best Leading Actress in a Limited Series or Movie for her role in HBO's "Watchmen."

This award makes 4 Emmy wins for Regina King, following previous wins for her roles in "Seven Seconds" and "American Crime." She is now tied with actress Alfre Woodard for the record for most acting Emmys won by a Black performer.

Regina graciously accepts her award while reminding viewers to vote and spreading awareness about Breonna Taylor via her shirt. Other nominees for her award included Kerry Washington for her role in "Little Fires Everywhere," Octavia Spencer for the Madam CJ Walker biopic "Self Made," and more.

There were other memorable moments from this year's Emmys like Zendaya winning her first Emmy for her role in the drama series "Euphoria." Rupaul's Drag Race took home 6 Emmys for Outstanding Competition Program, Rupaul for Outstanding Host of a Competition/Reality Program (for the 5th consecutive year), and more! Eddie Murphy also won his FIRST Emmy for Outstanding Guest Appearance on a Comedy Series for his recent feature on Saturday Night Live- ironically, 40 years after he first ever appeared on the show.
