Street Style- Goan Cutlet Pao (Goan Burger)
You will find this delicious street style burger on all the street carts in Goa. Everyone loves this goodness and every state has their special food. This is one of our famous street foods in my beautiful Goa .
Here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
๐1 pound of thin sliced beef steak ( 90 gm each slice )
For Marinade:
๐2 tbsp ginger-garlic-(green chilies paste optional)
๐1/2 tsp freshly crushed peppercorns
๐salt as per taste
๐1 tablespoon of vinegar or lime juice
Method...
๐Marinate the ๐ฅฉ beef and leave it overnight for best results.
๐Heat a heavy bottom skillet then add 2 tbsp of oil, either canola, olive, or sunflower oil and let it heat well. (Oil must be heated well).
๐Coat each steak piece in semolina that is seasoned with salt and pepper and gently place in the pan.
๐Drizzle some oil over it and cook for 4 to 5 mins.
๐Carefully flip the meat, reduce heat to medium and cook for another 4 to 5 mins (or you can fry the way you like it).
๐Open some burger buns and apply a layer of sauce (mixture of mayonnaise and hot sauce)
๐Place a layer of cabbage-onions-tomatoes salad on the meat slices, and if you like, drizzle on some more of the sauce.. (I use hot and sweet ketchup)
For the salad:
Shredded cabbage, sliced onions and tomatoes seasoned with salt, vinegar and sugar. Keep aside for 15 mins. Use this as the salad on your Bun.
Serve it with some fires ..๐
