Slow Cooked Chicken Leg Dinner

Ingredients:


  • 2 Chicken Legs

  • 1 whole yellow onion chopped

  • 1 package of mushrooms - any kind that you like I used baby Bella

  • 1 bottle of Trader Joes island soyaki sauce

  • 2 cups white rice

  • 4 cups water

  • 2 chicken bouillon cubes

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil


Instructions:


  • Step 1 - Marinate the chicken legs in the Trader Joes sauce for 24 hours

  • Step 2 - Line the bottom of your slow cooker with the onion and mushrooms then place the chicken legs with the sauce onto and slow cook on high for 8 hours

  • Step 3 - With 45 minutes left on the slow cooker - heat the olive oil in a pan for a few minutes and drop in the rice dry - constantly stir it for 2-3 minutes without the water - Right before you drop in the water add the bouillon cubes and break them up - then add in the 4 cups of water and simmer covered for 35-45 minutes stirring once to check after 20 minutes

  • Step 4 - lay the rice out on a tray and spoon the sauce from the slow cooker over it - place the chicken legs on top and serve - enjoy
