What inspired you to follow a career in acting?

I’d always been fascinated watching actors in movies and loved playing pretend as a kid. I had a big imagination. A career in acting was a great way to get to do that as a grew up.

The Expanse has returned this December for its final season, what can viewers expect from your character, Josep?

This season, we get to see what happens to Josep as a consequence of the war that took off at the end of season 5 and goes on throughout the sixth season. In season 5, Josep was pretty soft, and his priorities were predominantly based around keeping his family together and staying out of trouble. In season 6, that’s completely shifted. He’s become very much militarized and is focused on staying alive.

Goals for your career for the remainder of the year and next?

I’d like to continue to do work that stretches me. My journey with Josep was lovely in that he changed a lot from one season to the next. I’d like to do more of that. I’d also love to play someone with superpowers. I think the kid in me would be over the moon.

I read that you're passionate about music, can we expect any musical projects from you soon?

It’s just a hobby right now, but who knows? Never say never.

Can you share a bit with us about your other project that you will be starring in, My Fake Boyfriend?

Yeah, for sure. My Fake Boyfriend is a romantic comedy about a guy who follows the advice of his best friend and uses social media to keep his awful ex-lover out of his life. But then everything backfires when he meets the real love of his life, and then has to find a way to get rid of his fake boyfriend. It’s a super fun film, with a great cast. We had a lot of fun filming it. I can’t say much about my character just yet, but the film is scheduled for a June 2022 release.

What is the Mantra of your success?

I don’t know that I have a single mantra, I think it changes from season to season. Right now, I’d say stay focused, work hard.

What do you think is most important in your field?

Openness.

What would you like to suggest to youth about becoming successful in life?

I don’t know that I’m qualified to give that kind of advice, but I like to remind myself to follow my gut, trust my intuition. It’s worked for me so far.
