INGREDIENTS
Chicken pieces of choice
Garlic Powder
Onion Powder
Seasoned Salt
Black Pepper
Italian Seasoning
Chicken Boullion Powder
Butter
TO MAKE THE GRAVY
4 TBS Butter
4 TBS Flour
1/2 cup Onion chopped
1/4 cup Green Bell Pepper chopped
1/4 cup Red Bell Pepper chopped
4 - 4 1/2 cups Chicken Stock; Season to taste
Now Let’s Cook
Preheat Oven to 400F
Place Chicken in a baking dish or cast iron skillet
Pat Chicken Dry with paper towels and rub with butter on all sides and under the skin
Season generously with garlic powder, onion powder, seasoned salt, black pepper, chicken bouillon powder on all sides
Place Chicken in baking dish or cast iron skillet uncovered in 400F degree oven for 1 hour or until skin is golden brown and crispy and chicken is cooked all the way through
Remove chicken from oven and remove chicken from skillet and set aside
Add 4 tablespoons of butter and onion and bell peppers cook until soften
Sprinkle in 4 tablespoons of flour stir and cook for 5-7 minutes
Whisk in 4 cups of chicken broth (add more for thinner gravy or less for thicker gravy) and season to taste
Return chicken to skillet making sure every piece is covered with gravy and reduce heat to low simmer for 5-10 minutes stirring occasionally.
Serve over warm rice or buttery mash potatoes
