A cookie is a baked or cooked food that is typically small, flat, and sweet. It usually contains flour, sugar, and some type of oil or fat. It may include other ingredients such as raisins, oats, chocolate chips, nuts, etc. Let's make some easy and quick cookies at home which are highly nutritious. These cookies will have almonds to boost energy and let us make use of jaggery in place of sugar as it a healthier alternative. So let's gets started.
Wheat flour: 1 cup
Jaggery powder: 3/4th cup
Shredded almonds: 1/4th cup
Semolina: 1/4th cup (this give crunchiness to the cookies)
Clarified butter: 4 tbsp.
Milk: 4 tbsp.
Water: 2 tbsp.
Cardamom powder ½ tsp
Mix jaggery powder, milk, clarified butter, and water and heat this mixture. It should not boil. Now mix the dry ingredients: wheat flour, semolina, almonds, and cardamom powder thoroughly. Add these dry ingredients to the jaggery mixture. Mix thoroughly and make a soft dough. Keep it aside for 10 minutes. Now make flattened balls and with the help of a knife make a design on top of the cookies. Bake it in preheated oven for 20 minutes at 180 degrees.
Healthy and nutritious cookies are ready to serve.
