Kash Doll Assures Her Character In 'Black Mafia Family' Will Show How To Get Rid Of A Crazy Ex

Written by Ty Cole @tycoletv

From the booth to the television screen, Kash Doll will reveal a different side to her in the new upcoming Starz crime-drama Black Mafia Family, which chronicles the rise and fall of Demetrius “Big Meech” and Terry “Southwest T” Flenory -- two brothers who rose from the decaying streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980’s and gave birth to one of the most influential crime families in the country.

Your Voice Magazine correspondent Ty Cole spoke to Steve Harris and Kash Doll about their roles within the show, how the show reflects Detroit during that time and a family rule that each of them still stands by as adults.

Cole: How does Black Mafia Family carefully detail Detroit during that time period?

Doll: It's a great representation and truly gives a great incite to Detroit and what happened during that time.

Cole: What soft spots will we get from your character for Meech and Flenory while he's still trying to abide by the law?

Harris: The relationship was already established as the character was Meech and Flenroy's baseball coach/father outside of their home. The entire time, Detective Bryant thinks he can control the situation since he was apart of their lives, not understanding he's dealing with adults and not children anymore.

Cole: Kash have you ever had a crazy a** boyfriend and what advice would you give to someone who has one and want to get rid of them?

Doll: I've had a few of them, so I feel because of my experience, I was able to relate to my character. Most of the time, it's toxic and we egg the situation on. I feel the viewers will definitely learn from Monique as the season progresses.

Make sure to block your ex and tune into the premiere of Black Mafia Family, which airs on Starz Sunday, September 26th, and internationally on STARZPLAY.
