Healthy Vegan Cake

Veganism is the practice of abstaining from the use of animal products, particularly in diet, and is an associated philosophy that rejects the commodity status of animals. An individual who follows the diet or philosophy is known as a vegan. People are now turning towards veganism for maintaining good health. Plant based protein is becoming popular now. Let us try a super yummy vegan/dairy free cake at home.


All purpose flour: 150 gms

Unsweetened cocoa powder: 75 gms

Baking soda: 1/4th tsp

Salt: 1 pinch

Sugar: 1 cup

Vinegar: ½ tsp

Hot water: ½ cup

Method :

Mix flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Now add hot water and mix well. At this point of time, add vinegar and give it a nice mix. Grease a tray and pour in this mixture. Bake at 180 degrees for 25 minutes. Add 2 tbsp of cocoa powder and 2 tsp of sugar to 50 mL of hot water. Prick the cake with a fork and pour this mixture on top of the cake. Once it is cooled down, remove it from the tray and cut it into pieces. Soft, moist, guilt free vegan cake is ready to serve.
