On Friday, Drake dropped a new song titled "Laugh Now Cry Later" featuring Lil Durk. Amidst announcing its release in an IG post, he mentions that the song is off of his next studio album, CERTIFIED LOVER BOY.
As you can imagine, this got 6 God fans beyond excited but we still don't know much. So far, all we know is the name of the album...no release date or features (other than Durk, of course).
It's been 2 years since the Toronto artist last released a studio album. CLB will be his 6th, following Scorpion in 2018. While we don't know exactly when to expect the album, it should be sooner than later if Drake sticks to his word.
A couple months ago, when Champagne Papi released his Dark Lane Demo Tapes, he promised his fans a studio album in Summer 2020. He captioned an IG photo of the cover art,
"...DARK LANE DEMO TAPES out everywhere at midnight... also my 6th STUDIO ALBUM DROPPING SUMMER 2020!!! Lucky number 6 😈 soon fwd."
The summer is starting to wrap up but it's not over yet...So I guess we'll see if that was cap or not. In the meanwhile, stream "Laugh Now Cry Later" available on all platforms.
