The Delpozo brand was born in Madrid thanks to the art and creativity of the Spanish stylist Jesus del Pozo: initially it started with the men's collections, in 1974, to which it later joined, in 1980, the women's ones. His passion for fashion and beauty led him to experiment with different sectors in addition to that of fashion: from perfumes to lingerie to jewels and foulard.
During his career he also experimented in the design of uniforms (such as those for the Spanish staff at the 1992 universal exhibition) and in the design of costumes for theater and ballet. It also has a Junior line and a line of tableware.
The Delpozo brand after four decades in the world of fashion was considered one of the most renowned and important Spanish maison nationally. The designer became very famous at home but never managed to truly replicate this success even outside the Spanish borders at least until before his death in 2011.
Subsequently, the Grupo Perfumes y Diseno acquired the company in 2012 and Josep Font Spanish designer and tailor became the creative director, a position he held until September 2018. Today the luxury brand enters a new phase after the recent announcement of the entry of Lutz Huelle as new creative director.
Delpozo fashion house is to blend contrasting and feminine elements with lines suitable for a contemporary woman who loves the tradition of couture but with modern sensitivity.
Delpozo's approach to fashion is creative with great attention to volumes, colors and silhouettes, craft techniques and complex embroidery are present in all the brand's collections.
