Courtney is an example of faith and boldness combined as is making history as the first Black male kidney disease patient to overcome the disease and author a book about it. Courtney Starks is the epitome of a go-getter. As the CEO and Founder of Courtney’s Corner, LLC, he has dedicated his life to making a global impact.

Courtney's Corner LLC is a company that utilizes its tools to make a profound impact within their community in Brooklyn, New York, nationwide and abroad. Centered in New York and due to the current pandemic and digital space, the hit popular talk show "One On One With Courtney Starks" was born. The company, talk show and platform seeks to inform, engage and inspire its audience through a variety of topics affecting millennials today. Courtney aims to give people “their flowers while they are still here” and spotlight those heroic stories that often get overlooked in the mainstream media.

Over the last two years, Courtney and his team have covered topics including financial literacy, women empowerment, suicide awareness, mental health and more. During “One On One With Courtney Starks”, Courtney has also had the opportunity to speak with the stars such as Donell Jones, Michael Colyar, Major, Robert Ri’chard, Novi Brown, Tyla Harris and Sherri Shepherd just to name a few.

On a personal level, Courtney has been put through trials and tribulations starting at a very young age. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, by his loving grandmother after his mother passed away at age 30. Then in 2008, Courtney was told that he would be knocking on death’s door to his extreme decline in his own health. In 2014, just before he was about to go under for his first kidney transplant, Courtney was pulled from the donor list, as his heart condition made him inoperable. When it seemed like there was no hope, Courtney fought and pulled through, finally receiving his life-saving kidney transplant in 2017.

His health experiences and faith have fueled and prepared him to become an author, officially in September 2021. He will be releasing his debut book, “My Kidney’s Failed Me But God Didn’t” on September 25th, 2021 adding author to his already lengthy list of notable titles.

Currently, “One On One With Courtney Starks” is filming its third season and the Courtney’s Corner team is off the heels of celebrating its 100th “Lunch On Me” during March’s Women’s History Month where his team continued to provide lunch and gifts to women in need and those incredible women who are making strides and impactful moves with their community.
