Three projects...18 months... and they all did numbers. Even as some of the industry's biggest hitters like Drake and Megan Thee Stallion continue to drop music, he's continued to top the charts- but throughout all of his recent success, trouble still seems to follow.
TMZ reported yesterday that there is an active arrest warrant out for Da Baby on a misdemeanor battery charge. The "Suge" artist is being accused of attacking a driver in Vegas back in November when he was told he and his friends couldn't smoke in the car.
But according to Da Baby, "the devil gone always try you when you doing good," which is accurate in that he's making major moves in his career right now.
Blame it on Baby, his third studio album, dropped April 17th and got over 25 million streams on Spotify within the first 30 minutes. Now his song "ROCKSTAR" featuring Roddy Ricch sits at number 3 on Apple music amongst Drake's Dark Lane Demo Tapes.
Between the North Carolina rapper's first two albums, Baby on Baby and Kirk, we got numerous chart-topping hits like “Suge” “Bop” and more. With his success at a steady incline, so is the drama- from what it seems.
The recent accusations follow a few other incidents where Da Baby found himself getting physical such as the incident with a Beverly Hills hotel employee and another with a fan at a concert in Tampa.
Despite what his track record says, he claims in an Instagram story post that the accusations are false.
Let's hope for his sake that he's telling the truth. In the meantime, listen to Blame it on Baby available everywhere.
