'A Holiday Chance' Star Richard Lawson Says His Daughter, Bianca Lawson, Is His Favorite Actor

The holiday season is giving us the best Black holiday films this year and it continues with A Holiday Chance, which follows the family of Garvin Chance (Richard Lawson), the founder of a multi-million-dollar film production company that experiences a series of tragic events during the Christmas holiday.

Two sisters, Noel Chance (Nafessa Williams) and Naomi Chance (Sharon Leal) must set aside a life-long rivalry and come together to turn the company around and keep the family intact. 'A Holiday Chance' showcases the perfect blend of holiday cheer, drama, and tons of laughs for all families to enjoy this season.

In the film, Noel wants to be just like her father, Garvin, and is slowly following in his footsteps as an executive within the family's production company. Your Voice Media correspondent Ty Cole asked Lawson if it was the same situation with his daughter, Bianca Lawson (Sister, Sister, Queen Sugar, Save The Last Dance), he shared it was the same ordeal and even tells us she has become his favorite actor.

"Bianca has wanted to be an actress from the age of 3," said Lawson. "At the age of 9, she sat me down and told me she was serious about acting. She's been in the business since then and has become my favorite actor not because she's my daughter, but because she's incredible"

The film industry has definitely shifted with the inclusion of NFT's and selling content, but that isn't stopping Tobias Truvillion from auditioning and pursuing his career as an actor.

"The challenge is always being creative and being an entrepreneur. There isn't a day where you won't put in work," said Truvillion. "You're only going to get what you put in. Can't say the industry won't be as rough as it's been to me because it's been rough."

Enjoy your Thanksgiving Eve with the family and head to select theatres to see 'A Holiday Chance' on November 24th.
